Director of Global Cafe
Mr. Joe Cilia, A true pioneer in the food and beverage business, Joe was one of the first foreign owners and operators to take on the food and beverage industry in Saigon.
He started Global Cafe over 24 years ago from simple kiosks in shopping centres to catering to over 9 international schools and 4 different outlets at RMIT University.
Originally hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Joe has been operating Global Cafe at ISHCMC for over 24 years.
He runs the business with a passion rarely scene from most owners, making himself available to all customers and being present and onsite on a daily basis.
John Tuzi
Operations Manager
John Tuzi has over 20 years of experience in the F&B industry in Toronto, Canada and HCMC, Vietnam, John is obsessed with food and service. John has been a part of the ISHCMC Community 2011 and involved in it's many evolutions. He is known to most students as "Mr. John".
Formerly responsible for catering large events, corporate catering, private parties, and working as a "fixer" for celebrities for one of the leading catering companies in Toronto, he decided to take his experience and knowledge of the food and beverage industry and apply it to Vietnam, a country he loves dearly.
John has been a part of many of the changes over the years at ISHCMC. From the trial and creation of the salad bar and parents cafe to the design and installation of the canteen, cafe and kitchen at the new secondary campus.
John is also one of the creators and owners of Soul Burger Restaurant in District 1.
VŨ LONG PHỤNG
Head of Accouting and Administration Department
Mr. VU LONG PHUNG is currently the Head of the Accouting and Administration Department at Global Cafe.
With over 15 years of experience in accounting and human resource management, he is also a lecturer in the Faculty of Accounting at the University of Labour and Social Affairs (Campus 2).
His strong academic background, combined with extensive practical experience, enables him to make significant contributions to the company, particularly in optimizing administrative and human resource management.
Minh Hien
Health Coach
Ms. HIEN, our dedicated health coach certified by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York. At ISHCMC, she collaborates closely with the school nursing team to ensure optimal nutrition for young children.
With a background in the service industry, Ms. Hien excels in communication and engages effortlessly with parents and children, gaining valuable insights into the dietary needs and preferences of these children.
Her dedication and expertise play a crucial role in shaping healthy eating habits and fostering positive relationships with food among ISHCMC's students.
